Elmer Dixon is a former activist and current diversity consultant as well as President of Executive Diversity Services, an organizational development firm in Seattle, Washington. He has spent 30+ years as an executive in both public and non-profit organizations, helping to improve organizations’ cultural competency. Elmer was a key figure in the creation of the Inclusive Circles Process TM and is a certified administrator for the Intercultural Conflict Inventory.

Charity Barton is a TU Alumna with a B.A. in Communications. While at TU, she was involved in school spirit as a TU cheerleader and now serves as the TU Cheer coach. She is also currently serving as a Director at TU’s Collins College of Business. Charity is an entrepreneur who enjoys public speaking and is passionate about the power of storytelling. She is set to graduate with her Master’s in Mass Communications this May.

Speaker Spotlight: Rhiannon Baker - 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦

Rhiannon Baker is a local attorney and non-profit volunteer who advocates for victims and survivors. After escaping from the hands of her kidnapper at age 19, Rhiannon suffered from PTSD for a number of years. She shares her traumatic experience and its aftermath in providing a learning tool for others. Her passions include spreading mental health awareness and advocating for victims’ rights. She is currently in the process of writing a memoir and she continues to help inspire others.

While growing up, he played basketball and studied at ORU; now he has an MBA in Finance. Mikey credits his approach to business/leadership to his experience playing basketball at the collegiate and international levels. His purpose is to develop leaders that continue to develop leaders. Mikey’s passion is to help create “lightbulb” moments in their trajectory for others in order to become first generation wealth creators who live and leave their legacies.

Aaron Ball is an instructor in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Tulsa, where he teaches introductory courses in geology and serves on the Geoscience Advisory Board. He earned a Master of Science in Geology and Bachelor of Science in Geosciences from TU. Some of his awards during his studies include University of Tulsa NOVA Fellow, Oklahoma Geological Foundation Graduate Fellow, Chevron Graduate Fellow, and Tulsa Geological Society Foundation Outstanding Student Award. He is an AAPG Department of Professional Affairs Certified Petroleum Geologist. He also volunteers as the treasurer for the Geoscience Foundation of Tulsa, a charitable organization that recognizes outstanding students and teachers of earth sciences.

He invests all his efforts towards a visible queer past and a safer queer future. In his free time, Ellis enjoys playing video games as well as being a mediator between his partner and cat in an ever-waging psychological war.

As a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Erik served as a Senior Analyst at Public Financial Management, Inc., a Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary for Community Development, and a Senior Vice President at the Philadelphia Housing Authority. His passions include running, chess-playing, and advocating for housing.

Dr. Jamie L. Rhudy is a professor and licensed clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychology at the University of Tulsa. He has 25+ years of research experience in affective neuroscience, specifically focusing on the interface of emotion and pain processing. His goals are to identify mechanisms that contribute to and/or maintain chronic pain conditions, to develop non-invasive methods for assessing individuals at risk for developing chronic pain, and to improve the methods for studying nociceptive processing.

Anna Claire McMullen is a junior, majoring in biochemistry and biology at University of Tulsa. She is also a Chemistry Lab teaching assistant, aerialist, and a tutor. She has been an aerialist for almost 5 years, her favorite move is spinning and her preferred apparatus is the lyra or aerial hoop. She hopes to pursue a PhD and a DVM in studying veterinary toxicology dealing with environmental toxins and conservation. Her passions include mental health, chemistry, conservation and creative movement.
